A visual artist, specialising in drawing and painting. Her practise is shaped by recurring themes of the body, memory and place. These themes are explored through recurring motifs from nature, anatomy and everyday life to construct images that feel both familiar and unsettled.

Working between observation and abstraction, her process is layered in both technique and meaning. Porwal distorts and transforms her imagery to mimic and examine how memories are stored, altered and reimagined over time.

The boundaries between people and places are a defining feature of her work. She is interested in the points of contact between the body and its surroundings, and the reciprocal relationships that connect them, often dissecting this with surreal imagery.
